Lexus — The Manifesto

For Lexus, we created a brand film built around one of the defining moments in the company's history — the Lexus Manifesto, signed by its founders in 1987.

Rather than simply presenting the manifesto as a piece of Lexus history, we made it the narrative foundation of the film. The story explores how the principles set out by the founders — from creating exceptional cars to putting the customer first — continue to shape the Lexus experience today.
We developed the scenario around the idea that the manifesto did not end with the signatures. Its principles became part of the way Lexus operates, influencing the experience customers receive across its dealerships to this day. The film connects these original ambitions with the present, moving between the words of the manifesto and carefully composed visuals of Lexus vehicles and the dealership environment.
SAHAL developed the creative concept and script and handled the full production at a Lexus dealership. We planned and filmed a series of cinematic automotive and lifestyle shots, using the space, vehicles and details of the dealership to create a polished visual language that matched the premium character of the brand.
The result is a film that turns a piece of Lexus history into a present-day brand story — showing that the manifesto is not simply something Lexus wrote in 1987, but a philosophy that continues to guide the customer experience today.
