DAMAC Islands 2 β Live-Action Campaign Production
Β Real Estate Β· Dubai, UAE
For DAMAC Islands 2, we produced the live-action footage for a multi-part pre-sale campaign built around the idea of Permanent Holiday β introducing the new luxury island development through a series of lifestyle-driven stories.
Watch the video:
The campaign included three different scenarios, each requiring a different production setup: an airport arrival, an island reveal and a beach scene built around a message-in-a-bottle concept. Although the final films combine live action with CGI and VFX, the production started with carefully planned real-world environments, performances and practical elements that could support the visual effects work in post.
β
SAHAL managed the live-action production across the campaign, coordinating locations, talent, crew, props and on-set requirements for each scene. The production also involved influencer-led performances, with the filming designed around natural interaction between the talent and elements that would later be enhanced or replaced in CGI.

For the airport sequence, for example, we created a physical prototype of the oversized luggage handle on set so the influencer could interact naturally with the prop. The practical element was later replaced with the final CGI design, while keeping the original performance and movement intact.

β
Across all three films, our role was to make the live-action foundation feel natural, polished and believable β giving the CGI and VFX teams strong footage to build the final campaign around.
